04/04: "Street Kings" Director: Laurie Did an "Incredible Job"
thisisnottingham.co.uk has thoughts from the director of "Street Kings", David Ayer, on Hugh Laurie's performance in the film.
"I've been a fan of Blackadder growing up, and I went and had breakfast with him to talk to him to try to get him on board. I thought maybe the audience would like to see him with a shave. Everyone thinks he's House on his show now, but my task was to have him be not House. And he did an incredible job. He's the classic bureaucrat, the secret policeman, the man in flannel that secretly runs the world."
