House is featured on the latest issue of TV Guide, highlighting their feature on the 18 shocking twists from all of the recent season finales. From the article:

Executive Producer Katie Jacobs says: I don’t think their relationship will ever be the same. Wilson [Robert Sean Leonard] has been cleaning up after the elephant for years. Because House [Hugh Laurie] is so self-absorbed, he relies on Wilson to [fix] his mess. This time it really cost him. It’s sad because they had come to an understanding of how Wilson falling in love affects and folds into their friendship, but House just can’t resist being who he is—wounded, lovable and funny, but also selfish. The audience should worry about the future of their relationship. The devastating thing for House is that Wilson was his lifeline and now that he’s lost that, he’ll have to think about the way he is living his life.

The Hollywood Reporter, through IGN has more on the potential House spinoff.

They report that Michael Weston has signed on and will join the cast for season five. His character's name will be Lucas and, beyond just the spinoff possibility, there is also a chance that he could remain as a regular cast member of House, instead.

From Zap2It on The Oregonian:

Shore also says that as soon as [the season finale] is done, "House" rolls straight into shooting season five, propelled in part by fears of a possible Screen Actors Guild strike.

"This doesn't feel like the end of a season," Laurie says. "It feels like the beginning of a very, very long season. We're making 28, unbroken -- that's assuming that the actors don't go on strike. I say 'the actors,' but I am one, nominally. We don't know what's going to happen there."

Last week, Michael Ausiello reported that the producers behind House were looking for a new male character for a multiple episode arc and, if all went well, that character could be spun into his own show. The character was said, according to multiple sources, to be an investigator.

Ausiello is now reporting that Michael Weston (Six Feet Under) is in "advanced talks" to play that character.

Here's the description from tonight's episode, "House's Head," from Fox:

HOUSE STRUGGLES TO RECOVER HIS MEMORY
IN THE AFTERMATH OF A MAJOR BUS ACCIDENT
IN ORDER TO SAVE AN AILING PASSENGER’S LIFE
ON "HOUSE" MONDAY, MAY 12, ON FOX

Fred Durst (“Limp Bizkit”) Guest-Stars

In the first part of a two-part season finale, House finds himself dazed, confused and covered in blood after surviving a bus accident that left dozens seriously injured. Unable to clearly recall the events leading up to the crash due to his head injuries, House becomes convinced through his flashbacks that a fellow bus passenger was exhibiting signs of a deadly illness prior to the crash. Much to the team’s dismay, House pushes through the pain of his own injuries, desperate to piece together the fragments of his shattered memory in order to save someone who might not even know he or she could be dying in the “House’s Head” episode of HOUSE airing Monday, May 12 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/ PT) on FOX. Michael Ausiello has this:

Question: Is Thirteen going to have a relationship anytime soon on House — perhaps with another female considering the fact that she's bisexual? It would definitely spice things up a bit. — Zachary

Ausiello: I don't believe she'll be taking in a lover, but I can confirm that she'll be getting something nearly as important: a name! I'm told in this Monday's episode we'll, for the first time, hear Thirteen's real name. My guess: Tenplusfourminusone.

Zap2it discusses the possibility of Hugh Laurie's old comedy partner, Stephen Fry, making an appearance on House. House executive producer David Shore had the following to say:

"It's one of those things that there is so much excitement built up around it, without it even happening, that I always want to make sure I've got the right role for somebody before I bring them in.

"But it's doubly true with Stephen. I don't want to just do that, but I want it to be right. And we don't have the right idea to do it yet.

"God, I hope it happens, but we've got to figure out a story that makes it work."

Blogcritics has an interview with Lisa Edelstein.

Series creator David Shore and others have suggested that the future holds out the possibility of a more overt exploration and deepening of their interesting relationship. Edelstein strongly believes that there is much more to explore. Cuddy “very much loves House.” She explained that Cuddy lives vicariously through the maverick diagnostic genius. “She’s a smart woman, successful as a doctor, has a great position, but now has less to do with the actual practice of medicine.” Cuddy is excited by what House does. Edelstein views Cuddy’s relationship with House as a “beautiful adult relationship filled with complicated subliminal messages.” When asked whether that’s more the performance or the writing, she suggested that it was some of both, although the character’s direction really emanates from Shore's overall vision.

From Michael Ausiello:

... I'm jumping back on the House scoopwagon in a big way this week with news that Fox, in collaboration with producer NBC Universal, is quietly developing a House spin-off for next season. As I understand it, producers are introducing a new male character for a multi-episode arc and, assuming the actor they find really pops in the role, he may be spun off into his own show. But there's a twist, and it's a big one: Per multiple sources, this newbie is not a doctor, but rather a private investigator! And no, his name isn't Twitter. I'll have more details as they become available, but for now, head over to the Ask Ausiello Discussion Thread to post your thoughts on a possible House 2.0.

Here is the description for tonight's episode of House, from Fox:

IS AFFLICTED BY A SERIOUS MEDICAL CONDITION
ON "HOUSE" MONDAY, MAY 5, ON FOX

Jason Lewis (“Sex and the City”) Guest-Stars

House is convinced one of the actors on his favorite soap opera (guest star Jason Lewis) “Prescription Passion” has a serious medical condition after observing his symptoms on television. House decides to intervene and take matters into his own hands, but both the actor and House's own team dismiss House’s assessment and do not believe there is anything wrong with him. Meanwhile, much to House’s delight, Amber and Wilson have their first argument, and Cuddy tries to keep up appearances when an inspector makes an unexpected visit to Princeton-Plainsboro in the “Living the Dream” episode of HOUSE airing Monday, May 5 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/ PT) on FOX.
