Posted by Patrick
Well, season 3 is over. Chase is fired, Cameron and Foreman have quit. Who will be on House's team next season? We may not have to wait that long to find out.
But, I just wanted to take a moment to thank Tanner and everyone who has visited, supported and contributed to DrGregHouse.com during the third season. Between now and the start of the fourth season, we'll be here with news, discussions in our forums, new content and more. So, stay tuned. :)
Thank you for reading.

From the Times Colonist:
Wow, if that actually plays out, that's not long to wait at all! 3 months or so.
House will return with a fourth season later this summer. Thanks to the Fox network's commitment to the baseball playoffs in late October, House could return as early as August, as the broadcast networks move inevitably towards a year-round model.

Here we are folks - the last episode of season 3! The episode descripton from Fox is below:
A COUPLE TRAVELS ACROSS THE OCEAN
IN SEARCH OF A DIAGNOSIS FROM HOUSE,
AND FOREMAN PREPARES TO WORK HIS LAST CASE
AT PRINCETON-PLAINSBORO TEACHING HOSPITAL
ON THE SEASON FINALE OF“HOUSE”
TUESDAY, MAY 29, ON FOX
Cuban couple Esteban and his sick wife, Marina Hernandez, are pulled from the ocean during a dangerous rescue at sea while en route to the U.S. on a mission to reach Dr. House. Marina’s medical records from Cuba were lost in the shipwreck, so the team runs a series of tests to determine the extent of her illness. When Marina’s heart stops during a routine cardiac catheterization, the diagnostic mystery deepens. House debates with the team whether it was human error or a still-to-be-determined illness that caused Marina to flat-line, and the team fights to keep Marina alive on a bypass machine long enough for her husband to say goodbye, knowing that nothing short of a miracle can save her. Meanwhile, Foreman prepares for his last day of work at Princeton-Plainsboro, and Chase accuses House of trying to win Foreman over in order to dissuade him from leaving, prompting House to make a very rash decision that affects the whole team in the “Human Error” episode of HOUSE airing Tuesday, May 29 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. The TV Guide interview with Omar Epps that I mentioned yesterday is now online.

There is some House related goodness in the May 28-June 3 issue of TV Guide. Most notably an interview with Omar Epps where he reveals the following:
From the looks of it, Laurie and Epps are featured on the cover of subscriber copies.
He'll be back next season full time.

The Hollywood Reporter has a short, but very funny interview with Hugh Laurie.
THR: Where do you keep your Golden Globe trophy? Does it make an effective bookend?
Laurie: Forgive me for being pedantic here, but I actually now have two -- so your bookend idea works even better. Particularly since they weigh more than any earthly substance could in that volume. They are now installed in my son's bedroom, which I have converted into a Hall of Fame. He sleeps in the garden.

A TEENAGE CHESS PRODIGY WITH A MYSTERIOUS ILLNESS
AND A BAD ATTITUDE STUMPS THE TEAM
ON “HOUSE” TUESDAY, MAY 15, ON FOX
Obnoxious 16-year-old chess prodigy Nate is admitted to Princeton-Plainsboro suffering from intense head pain that came on after he attacked his opponent during a speed chess tournament. Nate’s mother tells the team that Nate has been having behavior problems ever since he became a teenager, and House suspects the behavior is a symptom of cluster headaches. As House’s team carries out further testing to see why he might be having the headaches, Nate manages to offend and annoy each doctor on the team. As Nate’s illness progresses, his liver and kidneys begin to fail. To narrow down the list of possible diagnoses, House carries out a series of unconventional and eccentric tests of his own, including engaging Nate in a game of chess to try to beat him at his own game. Meanwhile, Foreman’s frustration with House reaches a new level when he believes House sabotaged his job interview with another hospital, and Cuddy makes Foreman an offer she’s sure he can’t refuse in “The Jerk” episode of HOUSE airing Tuesday, May 15 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. From AdvertisingAge:
Fox -- which goes into next week with the highest season-to-date regularly scheduled programming rating and share (3.8/10) in the ad-centric adult 18-49 demographic -- built "House" on the programming back of "American Idol." Both shows have benefited, as the combination created a programming block as solid as any on network TV and ended as the second- and third-highest-rated shows of the week. Indeed, for the first time since their pairing on Tuesday, "House" beat "Idol" with an 8.3/22 rating and share, just topping "Idol's" 8.2/22. As usual, the Wednesday edition of "Idol" (itself originally from British builders) was America's most-watched show in the demo, delivering a 10.1/27.

Tonight's episode, from Fox:
FOREMAN HANDS IN HIS RESIGNATION
WHILE THE TEAM RACES TO DIAGNOSE A YOUNG COLLEGE STUDENT
ON “HOUSE” TUESDAY, MAY 8, ON FOX
Piper Perabo Guest-Stars
Addie, a 19-year-old college student, is admitted to Princeton Plainsboro after coughing up a mouthful of blood during karate class. Before treating the patient, Foreman unapologetically informs the rest of the team that he is resigning, but will not say why. House strongly believes an infection is to blame for Addie’s bleeding, even though her symptoms indicate otherwise. When Addie’s lungs suddenly fill with fluid, the team believes that cancer or toxins could be an underlying cause, but House refuses to stray from his initial infection diagnosis. As Addie’s condition worsens, House suggests a risky life-or-death treatment to confirm his suspected diagnosis, leaving the team wondering whether he cares more about making a diagnosis than he does about saving Addie’s life. Meanwhile, House takes a special interest in a young, attractive nutritionist named Honey (guest star Piper Perabo), who accompanied her boyfriend to the clinic for treatment. Knowing he will have a position open soon on his team, House has Honey fill out an employment application and sees to it they meet again under more casual circumstances in the “Resignation” episode of HOUSE airing Tuesday, May 8 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (HOU-322) (TV-14 L)

My "Everybody Lies" t-shirt arrived. Besides the shirt, you also get an a 5X7 index card. On one side is this photo - on the other is the House logo with this message:
It then has the signatures (printed, not actual autographs) of the 6 main cast members. The "and perhaps a snakeskin belt?" part is in handwritten print, like the signatures.
With this shirt, you have made a difference in the lives of people struggling with mental illness.

Here is the description, from Fox, for tonight's episode of House:
HOUSE AND HIS TEAM GO TO EXTREME MEASURES
TO DIAGNOSE A YOUNG BOY SO HE CAN IN TURN
SAVE HIS DYING OLDER BROTHER’S LIFE
ON “HOUSE” TUESDAY, MAY 1, ON FOX
Wilson prepares his 14-year-old leukemia patient, Nick, for a last-resort bone marrow transplant from his younger brother, Matty. With Nick's immune system completely wiped out from chemotherapy, Wilson is extremely cautious about keeping him healthy before the transplant. However, when Matty sneezes during a pre-op visit to his brother, Wilson knows that Matty is not healthy enough to donate. House and the team race to find out what is making Matty sick so that they can treat him quickly and allow him to donate healthy, uninfected bone marrow to his dying brother. With no other matching donors available, the team knows that Matty is their best shot at saving Nick’s life, since giving Nick bone marrow from a partial-match donor could lead to an excruciating death if Nick’s body rejected it. House decides they must purposefully make Matty sicker and use his developing symptoms as a method of narrowing the diagnosis field. As both brothers' conditions worsen and Nick has only days to live, the team must diagnose and treat Matty before it’s too late for both brothers. Meanwhile, Foreman is haunted by his mistake that killed a patient just one week earlier, and House only wishes he could incur similar misfortune upon his new pet and nemesis, Hector, in the “Family” episode of HOUSE airing Tuesday, May 1 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (HOU-321) (TV-14 D, L)
